After this it's back on the bus to travel to the Bunya Mountains via Kumbia, arriving in time to enjoy lunch with the abundant wildlife. You can take in the beauty of the Bunyas over the next 2.5 hours - either choosing to ride on a horse-drawn carriage or taking a walk along one of the many spectacular walking trails. Why not visit the gallery or have a cuppa in the cafe? After this we return via Maidenwell where you'll pass the Maidenwell Observatory - an absolute must to visit! Our driver will then have you back at the Kingaroy Holiday Park at around 3:30pm that afternoon.

Tastes Of The South Burnett

The South Burnett is one of Queensland's newest wine-producing regions and this popular tour allows you to relax in air-conditioned comfort while you and your friends visit up to 5 South Burnett wineries in a single day. The tour departs from the Kingaroy Holiday Park at 9:45am when we drive to the multi award-winning Kingaroy Cheese factory, where you can get to try out some of their terrific cheeses and find out more about the cheese-maker's art. Then we get back on the bus for a tour through the Barambah Wine Trail, where you'll visit up to 3 wineries during the morning as well as enjoy a great morning tea in the vineyards. After this, it's back on the bus for a trip to Captains Paddock for a long lazy lunch, and then a visit to nearby Cranes Winery for even more wine tastings before finally returning to the Kingaroy Holiday Park at around 4:00pm for afternoon tea. What a top day out!

Cost: $69 per person - includes morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Cellar door fees at wineries not included in the usual itinerary at the passenger's expense. Minimum four adults - maximum 11 adults.

Star-Gazing Spectacular

Maidenwell is located high on the rim of the Bunya Mountains and is one of the darkest places in South East Queensland - the perfect spot for an observatory! And on this trip you'll be able to enjoy unique thrills like viewing 4 of Jupiter's 20 moons, or getting up close and personal with planets like Mars and Venus. You can also gaze in awe at huge craters and mountains on our own Moon as you've never seen them before - all through the telescopex of the Maidenwell Astronomical Observatory. This tour departs from the Kingaroy Holiday Park at 5:30pm and you'll dine at the Maidenwell Hotel before the extravaganza begins at 7:00pm. Over the next 1.5 hours astronomer and host Jim Barclay will then guide you and answer any questions you might have, with plenty of telescope time for everyone. After this we return at around 9:30pm.

Cost: $69 per adult, $62 per pensioner, $58 per school age child [Note: In cases of inclement weather the tour will be run in the Observatory's Star Theatre, or cancelled if required]. Start times may vary dependent on season. Minimum 6 persons - maximum 11 persons.
